ESET Enterprise Edition – Upgrade ESET Remote Administrator to Ver. 3.0
ESET NOD32 Enterprise Edition provides superior convenience for users to monitor and to control the vast number of computers in the working environment.
To cope with the launch of ESET NOD32 3.0 and 4.0, ESET Remote Administrator 3.0 has also been launched. ERA 3.0 is equipped with more functions, and more flexibility.
* ESET Remote Administrator (ERA) collectively refers to RA Server (RAS) and RA Console (RAC)
New Functions

1.Groups Editor

The newly-added Groups Editor allows users to create multiple user groups. Then the system administrator can easily drag the users from the client list into the groups.

2.Notification Manager

The newly-added notification manager allows users to set specific event triggers. Whenever an event is triggered, ERA will automatically send an email to the system administrator in order to minimize the time delay. Over 15 events have been set by default, which should already be enough for regular use. However, users may still customize their own event triggers regarding their needs.

3.Policy Manager

The newly-added policy manager allows the system administrator to control the policies in a more specific way. For example, if the company is divided into many departments and there are different NOD32 configurations for each department, policy manager can be put into good use.

4.License Manager

The newly-added license manager allows users to import their license file. Once the license file is imported, details like the number of licensed computer, expiry date, etc. can be seen.

 

5.SysInspector

The newly-added SysInspector is a system diagnostic tool developed by ESET. SysInspector allows the administrator to check if there’s any suspicious programs running or network connections. (This function must be used with NOD32 4.0)

Method 1

Step 2: Download RAS 3.039 and RAC 3.039
Step 3: Install RAS first
Step 4: Then install RAC
Step 5: Complete

Method 2 [Use this when Method 1 fails]
Step 1: Visit https://www.eset.hk/html/147/164/
Step 2: Download RAS 3.039 and RAC 3.039
Step 3: Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Uninstall “ERA Server” and “ERA Console”
Step 4: Delete the “C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataESETESET Remote Administrator” folder
Step 5: Restart the server
Step 6: Install RAS first
Step 7: Then install RAC
Step 8: Complete
