ESET Reaffirms Commitment to Channel Partners with New Program

SAN DIEGO – October 31, 2006 – ESET, the leader in proactive threat protection, today announced it is holding its inaugural North American Partner Conference on November 1-3, 2006, in San Diego. The event will allow ESET executives to deepen relationships with its growing partner base, and learn about evolving customer requirements and partner needs. ESET's channel partners can look forward to expert education in industry trends and technology as well as enhancements to the sales, marketing and technical support arenas.

Leveraging the power of its worldwide distribution network, ESET NOD32 Antivirus software has experienced record growth in sales and revenues, growing 141 percent in 2005, while the market overall only grew at 13 percent (source: IDC). The conference provides an opportunity for more than 20 premier channel partners from North America to discuss strategies for increasing sales and to attend technical anti-malware briefings.

「This event is our opportunity to work closer with selected channel partners, reinforcing the open dialogue and collaborating on how we are going to build in 2007 on the record-breaking sales year we have experienced in 2006,」 said Larry McJannet, vice president of sales at ESET, LLC. 「This event is our opportunity to personally thank our North American channel partners and establish an open dialogue with them that will be mutually beneficial.」
「The reseller channel is in need of greater support and education to service their clients' security needs,」 said Zeus Kerravala, senior vice president, enterprise research at Yankee Group. 「ESET, through its program and this conference, promises VARs a viable alternative to the status quo.」

Randy Abrams, director of technical education, and Andrew Lee, chief research officer at ESET, LLC, will be conducting educational workshops regarding malware industry trends, best practices for comprehensive security, as well as presenting competitive analyses.
